Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

• Work within a 75-mile radius of the facility.
• Perform scrubbing for interventional cardiac procedures including pacemakers, temporary pacemakers, and vascular cases.
• On-call 7-10 days per month, including 1 weekend.
• Suitable for first-time travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist or Cath Lab Technologist.
• Valid ARRT (R), RCIS, or CCI certification/license.
• Experience scrubbing temporary pacemaker cases.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including aliases.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 60 days of start.
• Education verification of highest degree required.
• Missouri state-specific background search required.
• Two professional references required.
• Employment application and annual skills checklist required.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest x-ray within 5 years and TB questionnaire within 1 year. TB questionnaire must be updated annually.
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start with approved mask models; retesting may be required if failed.
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Influenza vaccination (seasonal, with exemptions allowed)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (for NICU and Family Birthplace placements)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines/booster)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge.
• Completion of facility e-learning modules within 3-5 days of receiving access; "New Colleague (External Traveler) E-Learning" must be completed prior to start.
• Acknowledgement of EPIC Pass/Fail testing onsite.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required.
• Candidates must be able to scrub cases and participate actively in interventional cardiac procedures.
