Registered Nurse (OR)

Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week (4 days/week)

Job Description

• Travel assignment in the Operating Room (OR) with cross-training to Endoscopy (Endo).
• Experience required in all areas of the OR except open heart surgery.
• Case types include Vascular (excluding open hearts), General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, and ENT.
• Exposure to advanced equipment such as Baxter pumps, Phillips and Dynomap robots, and DaVinci Robot (experience with DaVinci Robot is a strong plus).
• Call schedule includes one weeknight call every 4 weeks (7 PM–7 AM) and one weekend call shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) up to 24 hours per 3-month contract.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Scrub experience preferred.
• Valid West Virginia RN license or Compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must provide an unexpired driver’s license and be within a 50-mile radius for submission.

Additional Information

• No prescreen required for the OR.
• Permanent staff require Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) due to modern sedation practices (not required for this travel role).
• Work schedule typically consists of four 10- to 12-hour days.
• The facility operates 11 procedure rooms: 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites, handling about 65 cases daily (25 Endo cases).
