Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
- Weekend Requirement: No
- On-call Requirement: No
- Floating: No floating between units or facilities required
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
- Local candidates: Not accepted (must be outside 60-mile radius)

Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- SCRQSA (CT) certification
Licensure & Documentation
- Valid CT Tech license as applicable
- Copy of Driver’s License/State ID required
- Copy of Social Security Card required
- Background Check:
- Must include 7 years of residence/work history
- SSN Trace, Statewide, National Criminal, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS 3, and International searches required
- Drug Screen: 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical Exam: Initial and annual updates required, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination form
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 – Mar 31), medical/religious exemptions accepted (no declinations)
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
Compliance & Onboarding
- Facility-specific documents to be completed prior to start, including:
- Assignment Acknowledgment
- Code of Conduct review
- Employee Confidentiality Agreement
- HR Policy Manual review
- Systems User Agreement
- User Access Request
- Job Description acknowledgment
- HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement
- Orientation modules (approx. 4 hours) must be completed before orientation; failure to complete results in being sent home
- Radiation Badge Process:
- Badge must be obtained before starting patient care duties
- May take 5-7 days to arrive after ordering
- Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required for respirator use (RespSafety questionnaire)
Additional Notes
- Hurricane Season (June – November): Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams; avoid confirming new or extension assignments during this period if this is a concern
- First-time travelers: May be accepted, but approval is not guaranteed
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
- Performance Evaluation: Must be dated within 12 months of start
- Work History Verification: Not required for this facility
This position offers a structured weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call duties, ideal for CT Techs with at least 2 years of experience and required certifications, comfortable working with Siemens CT equipment, and able to comply with comprehensive facility onboarding and compliance requirements.
