Job Description

• Work on an Adaptive Acuity Unit with occasional assignment to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care at a 3:1 patient ratio (non-negotiable).
• Patient ratio on unit: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
• Unit size: 25 beds.
• Must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice.
• No call or call-back required.
• No billable orientation hours.
• Holiday multiplier applies; overtime is paid at regular rate.
• Requests for time off during assignment must be submitted and approved at time of application; no requests accepted after offer or during interview. Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• Minimum 3 months or more of total travel nursing experience
• Experience in Charge roles
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Insulin drip experience
• Esmolol drip experience
• Sodium drip experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

• 48-hour guarantee is not available for this assignment.
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of application; late requests may result in offer rescindment.
• Travelers without voicemail set up on their phones will be redirected.

Facility Overview

• 25-bed critical access hospital offering 24-hour emergency care, general surgery, hospitalist program, and comprehensive inpatient/outpatient services.
• Specialty clinics include cardiology, medical oncology, infusion services, ENT, orthopaedics, cosmetic & reconstructive surgery, urology, and psychiatry.
• Inpatient psychiatric services offered at a nearby 10-bed facility.
