Description

Registered Nurse - PACU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 10-hour shifts, rotating between 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
  • Workweek: 40 hours (4 shifts per week)
  • Weekends: 2-4 weekends per contract
  • Call: None
  • Float: None

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing for EKG and medication competencies
  • Successful completion of Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Flu vaccination mandatory starting 10/31/2025 through end of Winter 2026 with no exemptions (medical or religious)
  • Pass/fail competency testing (EKG/medication) required for PACU and ICU units; candidates will have two attempts to pass during orientation
  • Orientation paperwork must be completed and submitted promptly on the first day
  • Facility-specific confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and cornerstone module attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start
  • ID badge must be returned or sent after assignment ends to avoid replacement fees; pagers must be returned on last shift to avoid fees
  • Background checks required prior to start and updated annually, including 7-year history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions lists
  • E-Verify or attestation required prior to start
  • Candidates must complete a new ID management process before starting assignment (requires multiple forms of ID and proof of completion)

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Orientation rate applies for the first week (up to 36 hours) at facility discretion
  • Candidates must review an EKG study guide prior to start to prepare for competency testing
  • Facility will complete performance evaluations during assignment

Travel Experience

  • First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
