Registered Nurse - PACU (Travel/Contract)
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 10-hour shifts, rotating between 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
- Workweek: 40 hours (4 shifts per week)
- Weekends: 2-4 weekends per contract
- Call: None
- Float: None
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing for EKG and medication competencies
- Successful completion of Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
Additional Requirements & Notes
- Flu vaccination mandatory starting 10/31/2025 through end of Winter 2026 with no exemptions (medical or religious)
- Pass/fail competency testing (EKG/medication) required for PACU and ICU units; candidates will have two attempts to pass during orientation
- Orientation paperwork must be completed and submitted promptly on the first day
- Facility-specific confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and cornerstone module attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- ID badge must be returned or sent after assignment ends to avoid replacement fees; pagers must be returned on last shift to avoid fees
- Background checks required prior to start and updated annually, including 7-year history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions lists
- E-Verify or attestation required prior to start
- Candidates must complete a new ID management process before starting assignment (requires multiple forms of ID and proof of completion)
Orientation & Onboarding
- Orientation rate applies for the first week (up to 36 hours) at facility discretion
- Candidates must review an EKG study guide prior to start to prepare for competency testing
- Facility will complete performance evaluations during assignment
Travel Experience
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
