Description

Registered Nurse - PACU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 10-hour shifts, rotating between 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
Workweek: 40 hours (4 shifts per week)
Weekends: 2-4 weekends per contract
Call: None
Float: None

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing for EKG and medication competencies
Successful completion of Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)

Additional Requirements & Notes

Flu vaccination mandatory starting 10/31/2025 through end of Winter 2026 with no exemptions (medical or religious)
Pass/fail competency testing (EKG/medication) required for PACU and ICU units; candidates will have two attempts to pass during orientation
Orientation paperwork must be completed and submitted promptly on the first day
Facility-specific confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and cornerstone module attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start
ID badge must be returned or sent after assignment ends to avoid replacement fees; pagers must be returned on last shift to avoid fees
Background checks required prior to start and updated annually, including 7-year history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions lists
E-Verify or attestation required prior to start
Candidates must complete a new ID management process before starting assignment (requires multiple forms of ID and proof of completion)

Orientation & Onboarding

Orientation rate applies for the first week (up to 36 hours) at facility discretion
Candidates must review an EKG study guide prior to start to prepare for competency testing
Facility will complete performance evaluations during assignment

Travel Experience

First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
