Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Virginia, Newport News

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Newport News, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Description:
- 250-300 deliveries per month
- 12 labor rooms
- 2 operating rooms (ORs)
- 2 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds
- 4 antepartum (AP) rooms
- 3 obstetric triage (OBT) rooms
- High-risk patient population

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
