Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardio Thoracic ICU

Location

City: New Haven, Connecticut

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night shift
4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Average nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 (both day and night shifts)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Guaranteed hours

Unit Description

High acuity Cardiac ICU
Requires proficiency with Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
Nurses will float within scope to other high-volume cardiac ICUs as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
Minimum 3 years of Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) experience, with experience within the last year
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Proficiency with Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
