Description

Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Position: Registered Nurse in Neuro ICU
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratios: Average 1:2 for both day and night shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
On-call: Not required
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Pending License: Accepted with approval for return-to-office (RTO) restrictions (RTO >7 days requires approval)
Experience: Minimum 2 years Neuro ICU experience required
First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Certifications

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
Minimum of 2 years Neuro ICU experience, with Neuro ICU experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
