Registered Nurse (ICU / Step-Down ICU) - Rockford, IL

Job Description

Provide nursing care in ICU and Step-Down ICU units.
Must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Willingness to float to Step-Down ICU as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
Administer medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
Document care according to standards.
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
Participate in unit performance improvement activities.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across units.
Use critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
