Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Night Shift)

Shift Details
- 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule options: 3 or 4 shifts per week (3x12s or 4x12s)
- Shift hours: 18:45 to 07:15
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, approximately 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients

Job Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation
Background Checks
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated quarterly
- Illinois fingerprinting required for assignments involving long-term care or rehab units
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
- State-specific exclusion and sanction list checks for Illinois placements
Health & Safety
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include a comprehensive panel (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP)
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required or declination forms accepted for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap required every 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start (two negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (September 30 - April 1)
Facility-Specific Documents
- HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Regulatory Compliance Education, TB Questionnaire, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy, and Orientation Modules must be completed and signed prior to start
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam and unit-specific competency exam required annually
Additional Information
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Navy
- Parking: Free
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week for 3 shifts of 12 hours
- Return to office (RTO) restrictions: No greater than 7 days

- RNFAs require additional references submitted directly to the facility
