Description
MRI Tech - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Thursday, 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM (4 days of 10-hour shifts)
- Total Hours per Week: 40
- Charting System: Epic
- Floating: Clinician may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local candidates not accepted (must live more than 75 miles from facility)
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Return to Office (RTO) allowed up to 5 days only
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Current and valid MRI certification: ARRT (MR)
- Valid Driver’s License
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required for all positions
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - May be required depending on unit
- National certification verification (e.g., ARRT for MRI) must be verified within 30 days prior to start
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency required
- Color Blind Testing within 60 days prior to start
- Other unit-specific certifications may apply based on assignment
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and OFAC sanctions list checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification with transcript/diploma matching highest degree required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (collected within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and no physical limitations
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B: vaccine series, positive titer, or declination with annual renewal
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Seasonal Flu vaccine required annually (with agency-approved medical or religious exemptions only)
- COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills) mandatory for all RNs; EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within 6 months
- Fit testing for N95 masks completed onsite within 1 year of start
- Completion of various policy acknowledgments prior to start, including:
- Health Code of Ethical Business Conduct
- Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy
- Information Access Agreement
- Oklahoma Offender Registration Act compliance
- Oklahoma Responsibilities and Rights (updated every 2 years)
- Fingerprinting and state-specific screening clearance required before start
Documentation & History
- Two references required: one from a direct supervisor within 1 year, another within 3 years
- Updated resume covering last 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Verified 10-year work history including international positions; unverified employment requires attestation and facility approval
- Skills checklist aligned with competency exams, updated annually

- Candidates must submit Driver’s License with application

- Must comply with local radius rule: candidate’s residence must be more than 75 miles from facility
