Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (6 months)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday (based on unit needs)
Additional Requirement: Must be willing to float to a nearby campus

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
• Background checks including:

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal checks (last 7 years)
  • Social Security Number verification
  • State-specific criminal and abuse registry checks (Iowa-specific dependent adult and child abuse registries)
  • Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, NSO) dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• Signed forms including:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure
  • Integrity and Audit Services Form
  • Non-Employee Upload Form (specific pages required)
  • System Access Form (completed one week before start)

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this assignment
• Floating to a nearby campus is mandatory as part of the role
