Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Employment Type

• Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, 4 shifts of 10 hours each per week (40 hours guaranteed weekly)
• Shift times vary between 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM or 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Covers call during evenings and some weekend hours (Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon)
• Every other weekend includes call coverage from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Specialty

• Radiology / Cardiology
• Position requires CT/X-Ray Combo experience (X-Ray only not accepted)
• Daily caseload approximately 28 patients per tech

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have or be willing to apply immediately for the appropriate state license
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required by unit
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required by unit
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required by unit
• National tech certification verification as applicable

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (annual updates required)
• Drug test (9 panel) within 1 year of start
• COVID vaccination required (exemptions accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination form required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement annually
• Facility-specific documents to review and sign prior to start (dress code, parking, confidentiality, emergency codes, agency contract certification)

Facility Information

• Acute Care Hospital with 24-hour emergency care
• Level IV Trauma Center
• 25 staffed beds
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Free parking available

Additional Notes

• No time off (RTO) allowed during first 2 weeks due to orientation; subsequent RTO must be less than one week
• Clinicians may be asked to float within their scope to meet facility needs
• Locals are accepted for this position
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Montana
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• X-Ray Technician experience
