Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, every other week (EOW)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases in Labor & Delivery.
• Monitor and assist laboring patients, communicate with providers, and circulate in the OR for cesarean sections.
• Competently triage patients 20 weeks gestation and up.
• Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation.
• Recover vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Floating required between departments in the Women's Pavilion.
• Call requirement: 2 twelve-hour call shifts every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift).
• Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN Staffing Standards.
• Unit has 13 beds (8 LDRs, 5 triage beds).
• EMR systems used: CPN (GE) and Cerner.
• Scrub color: navy blue.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend shift requirement is met.
• No maximum return to office (RTO) restrictions as long as weekend requirements are fulfilled.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 2 completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Experience with floating between departments in the Women's Pavilion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CPN and Cerner EMR systems.

Additional Information

• This position requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe obstetrical care.
