Description
CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Mooresville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
- Hours: 12 hours per day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), 36 hours per week
- Caseload includes Cardiac, Oncology, Trauma, Pain Management, and Interventional cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT-CT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required
- Experience with GE Healthcare equipment and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Sciences program with an AAS or higher degree
- Fit Mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start
- Required immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years, no exemptions)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination (required, no exemptions)
- Polio vaccine or attestation
- Negative 10-panel drug test (including THC) within 30 days of start (no instant tests)
- Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months, including at least one supervisor
- Background checks including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list, and others as required
- Competency exam and unit-specific competency checklist to be completed during orientation
- Must complete required online orientation modules prior to start
- Must set up a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance
Orientation & Onboarding
- Biweekly orientation schedule
- Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
- Orientation includes testing (pass/fail) on basic technician knowledge
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Blue Card training provided onsite if not already held (valid for 2 years)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Annual TB questionnaire update required
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months
- Drug testing within 30 days of start, with retesting if contract is extended beyond 30 days gap
- Required vaccinations and titers as listed above
Additional Notes
- Candidates must have no pending background checks at start
- Education verification required for all Radiology/Cardiology specialties
- Documentation such as diploma (high school or college) must be provided (transcripts not accepted)
- Must comply with all facility-specific document and credentialing requirements
- Candidate must have no gaps greater than 30 days between previous assignments to waive some document re-submissions
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with strong GE and PACS experience seeking a 13-week travel contract with weekend and Monday shifts in North Carolina.
