CT Tech Travel/Contract Position - New Mexico

Location

• City: Portales, New Mexico

Assignment Details

• Specialty/Unit: CT and X-Ray (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
• Number of Openings: 1
• Workload Note: You will be the sole technologist on the unit during the night shift.
• Blocked Schedule Allowed: Thursday, Friday, Saturday shifts can be grouped together.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (R) and CT certifications
• New Mexico state license
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience accepted
• First-time travelers accepted if certified (no prior travel experience required)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS Level 1M; EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella as applicable
• Drug screening within the last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (for 2025-26 season)
• Fingerprinting per New Mexico DHHS requirements
• Professional photo for badge
• Signed confidentiality statement and personnel action forms
• Skills checklist and 2 professional references within 3 years

Additional Requirements

• ACLS and PALS certifications as applicable by specialty (recommended)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment (updated annually)
• National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration
• Primary source verification of state license prior to start and upon expiration

This position is ideal for certified CT Technologists seeking a night shift travel assignment in New Mexico with a 13-week contract. Prior travel experience is not required.
