Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Ridgewood, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Must be willing to float to two additional locations within the region

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Certification: CNMT or ARRT (N) in Nuclear Medicine (must have at submission)
• ARRT certification accepted

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• Completion of Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) annually with a minimum passing score of 80%
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam annually with a minimum passing score of 80%
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) onsite for all RNs (not applicable here but noted for context)
• Color Blind Testing (Ishihara test) within 1 year of assignment start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (not applicable for this role but noted for context)

Health & Safety Requirements (Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)

• Physical exam or statement of health signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP confirming fitness for duty
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending or rapid tests accepted)
• Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and/or proof of immunity:

  • COVID-19: Completed initial series and booster (no exemptions accepted)
  • Flu vaccine (mandatory, no religious or medical declinations accepted)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer
  • Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or declination
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred, not required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific self-learning modules and post-tests prior to start (100% passing score required)
• Completion of ECG Foundations exam (Relias) to prepare for onsite pass/fail testing (required for RNs; noted for context)
• Background checks including 7-year history, sex offender, OIG, SAM.gov, OFAC sanctions, and others as required
• Education verification of highest degree (diploma acceptable as placeholder if verification pending)
