Technologist - Cath Lab (Days)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Temporary

Job Description
- Perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies.
- Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to maximize team capabilities.
- Collaborate with intra-procedure team to ensure safe patient care.
- Participate in Universal Protocol and site marking identification when applicable.
- Assist with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup for routine procedures.
- Interpret physicians’ orders/protocols and communicate with physicians as needed.
- Select and maintain equipment according to protocols and regulatory standards to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot special procedures equipment; instruct technologists on equipment operation.
- Identify and recommend improvements to work processes and customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology through continuing education and professional involvement.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements related to cardiovascular technology and cardiac labs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
- Active ARRT or RCIS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED, etc.) or previous Cath/EP Lab setting.
- Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
Workweek and Additional Information
- Workweek runs Wednesday through Tuesday.
- Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x.
- Callback pay at 1.5x with a minimum of 2 hours for any callback service.
- No nonbillable orientation hours.
- Employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted with a local rate adjustment.
