Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Average Daily Census: 25 patients in a 5-room unit
Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract
On-call: Required as needed
Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
Schedule: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Cardiac Cath Lab experience (minimum 1 year), with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or equivalent
Fit mask test required (3M1860 small/regular, 1870, or 1870+ masks accepted)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
Required immunizations or proof of immunity (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella) or signed declinations
9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30
Background checks including criminal, sex offender, and state-specific searches within 30 days of start
Fingerprinting required in Illinois within 3 business days prior to start (cannot be done out of state)
Education verification and competency exam required
References: 2 professional references required

Additional Notes

RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Badge photo required within one week of signing contract
Candidates must complete computer-based learning modules before or on first day of orientation
Parking permit form and code of conduct acknowledgment required within 7 days of contract signing
