Labor and Delivery Nurse (Night Shift) - Travel/Contract
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night, 4 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 48 hours
- Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- Scrubs: Provided
- First-time travelers welcome
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance & Background Requirements
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Education verification of highest level required (transcript/diploma accepted as placeholder if needed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
- 7-year work history verification required
Additional Information
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance required
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
- Color blindness testing required (online version accepted)
- References: Internal only; professional references may be requested by agency
