Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Clarksdale, Mississippi
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (open to 8, 10, or 13 weeks)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Overview

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum in a combined Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit.
• Manage continuous fetal monitoring and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Deliver immediate newborn care, support breastfeeding, and provide patient education.
• Handle antepartum admissions, post-delivery recovery, and newborn nursery assessments.
• Collaborate closely with OB providers, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and support staff.
• Complete accurate documentation, discharge teaching, and patient follow-up education.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) within the last year.
• Labor and Delivery experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
