Description
Cath Lab Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
- Call required
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Scrubs provided
- EPIC charting experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT-R or RCIS certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Epic
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID or passport (name must match all documentation)
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Background checks within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year county criminal background search for all locations lived/worked
- Sex offender search
- State police investigation for behavioral health (if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification as applicable
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; chest X-ray if positive history
- Annual TB questionnaire if applicable
- 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (rapid screens not accepted)
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria)
- Hepatitis B vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination with boosters if needed
- Varicella immunity or vaccination with boosters if needed
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
- Completion of facility-specific forms including job description acknowledgment and security forms
Competency & Testing Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed; required for Cath Lab Techs)
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policy for medication and EKG exams
References
- Two professional references within the last 3 years required
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required
- Candidates must be prepared for call duties
- All certifications must be current and valid at start of assignment
- Training and competency exams must be completed within 30 days of start date where applicable
