ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide critical care nursing in the ICU with strong skills in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• May be required to float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Stepdown) as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Strong skills in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Compliance and Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled, nationwide search, and sex offender registry.
• Wisconsin Caregiver Search Results required within 90 days of start (agency responsibility).
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year of start (TSpot/PPD not accepted).
• Immunization or positive titer documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March).

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters).
• Completion of facility-specific compliance checklist and confidentiality statement prior to start.
• Video interview may be required shortly after submission depending on candidate eligibility.
• Annual skills checklist per agency standard.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.

Work Hours

• 48 hours per week, night shift, 4 shifts of 12 hours each.

Notes

• Candidate cannot start with incomplete inpatient RN references unless approved by facility leadership, which may delay clearance.
• Must be prepared to complete all required documentation and certifications prior to or shortly after start date.
