Description

Registered Nurse - BICU (Night Shift) - Travel/Contract

Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
  • Schedule: Will work every other weekend and float as needed
  • Patient Population: May include non-critical assignments; mixed patient populations on unit
  • Facility Type: Short term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center
  • Charting System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Minimum 2 years of Burn ICU experience, with at least 1 year of Burn ICU experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS certification

Compliance and Documentation

  • Must provide photo ID matching legal name on first day
  • Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps greater than 90 days
  • Verification of last 7 years of employment (attestations not accepted)
  • Skills checklist within 12 months of start
  • Attestation of prior radiation exposure if assigned to specific units (e.g., Cath Lab, Radiation Oncology, MRI Tech, etc.)

Additional Notes

  • Candidate may be assigned to non-critical care patients as needed
  • Free parking available
