Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burn ICU (BICU) position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Burn ICU (BICU) of a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of a large health system
  • Patient population includes burn ICU patients; may also care for non-critical patients as both populations are managed on the unit
  • Charting via Epic EMR
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required as needed
  • Free on-site parking available

Requirements

  • Active CT or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Level II Trauma Center or equivalent experience preferred
  • Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
  • Nursing license must be free of prior disciplinary actions

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this role
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for this assignment
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
  • Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if needed
  • Active RN license is not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to start
