MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job in York, Pennsylvania

Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Friday 9:00 AM–9:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Worksite: Imaging center (specific address provided upon placement)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every weekend
  • Call: No call required
  • Holidays: No holiday work required
  • Floating: Not applicable
  • Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free

Required Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in specialty
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
  • Technical Skills:
    • EPIC electronic health record system experience required
    • GE EXP system experience required

Requirements/Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Valid BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ARMRIT certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Background Checks & Compliance

  • 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start, must be finalized prior to start
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search required 3 business days prior to start, renewed every 5 years
  • PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification of highest degree required
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (specific to agency requirements)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Fit mask testing within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific approved mask types required)
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
  • Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Full vaccine series or positive titer preferred; declination form required for all candidates
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted

Documentation & Onboarding

  • Two professional references within 3 years required
  • Most recent resume or employment application required
  • Annual skills checklist required
  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge required
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including:
    • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not accessible via cell phone)
  • New hire orientation required by end of first day

Testing & Competency Exams

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of contract signing

This position requires a dedicated MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, strong technical skills with EPIC and GE systems, and the ability to work every weekend on a 3x12 hour day shift schedule. Candidates must comply with extensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific onboarding requirements.
