Registered Nurse (RN) – ER/Medsurg Float

Location: Ashland, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12 hours per day, 72 hours per week

Job Description

• Work in a smaller critical access hospital setting.
• Float between Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Medsurg) units.
• May occasionally float to outpatient therapies or a senior living unit, though this is rare.
• Typically work alongside another RN on shift; some nights may have a traveler RN with a CNA or LPN, with an RN on call available.
• Use Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system.

Required Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and IV certification.

Additional Information

• Position is for night shifts on a 6-on, 8-off schedule.
• Experience in a critical access hospital or similar setting preferred.
