Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4x9 hours), Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Work schedule: 4 days a week, 9-hour shifts (evenings)
- Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients required; neonates and infants preferred.
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings required; NICU and PICU preferred.
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required.
- Experience with biopsies and IV starts preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- ARRT CT certification required
- Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- Background check within 60 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
- Must include aliases, social security trace, county/statewide/national criminal searches, federal court, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, and education verification.
- International education requires foreign equivalency evaluation.
- No open hits on background check allowed.
- New background check required for candidates with gaps of 30+ days.
Health & Immunizations
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start.
- Proof of adult Tdap vaccine.
- TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray if positive history.
- Immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within the current calendar year, updated annually (not required for some non-clinical or specific tech roles).
Other Required Documents
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
- Social Security Card.
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history.
- Verification of all employment within the last 5 years.
- Two supervisory references from clinical assignments within the last 24 months.
- Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal.
- Facility-specific documents including health history form, photo for badge (strict photo requirements), dress code acknowledgment, floating policy, and contractor equipment acknowledgment.
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment.
- Acknowledgment of pass/fail testing policies (EPIC, Dysrhythmia/EKG as applicable).
Additional Information
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
- Compliance deadlines are strict; all documentation must be completed by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
- Candidates must be aware they are being submitted for this specific job and have reviewed the job description.
- Fingerprinting is required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here).
- Candidates will receive Workday login information two weeks before start for onboarding tasks including multi-factor authentication setup.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment with a variety of patient populations and requires strong technical skills and compliance with rigorous credentialing and health standards.
