Registered Nurse – Dialysis (Travel/Contract)

Location: Rochester, New York
Contract Length: 9 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM – 10:30 PM (12-hour shifts), rotating Saturdays, occasional Sundays for holidays
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Floating required across all dialysis locations
• Able to run a 4:1 patient assignment and serve as Charge Nurse for up to 21 stations
• Charge Nurse experience required
• Experience with outpatient/chronic dialysis and setting up Fresenius machines required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working in an outpatient setting
• Experience in Charge Nurse roles

Compliance and Documentation

• Education verification from primary source required (no hard copy degrees accepted)
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required by specialty
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Employment application and work history verification required
• References required for travel agency compliance (2 references within 3 years)
• Various state-specific background checks and registry verifications as applicable

Additional Notes

• Locals may be considered at a lower rate
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and float between dialysis locations
• Charge nurse responsibilities include managing staffing and patient care assignments
• Candidate must complete all health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of contract signing

This position is ideal for experienced dialysis RNs with charge nurse skills who are comfortable managing multiple patients and equipment in a fast-paced outpatient dialysis environment.
