Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), floating and call required
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care.
- Patient ratio typically 1:6.
- Occasional care of non-critical pediatric patients on the floor.
- Floating between units and on-call duties as needed (call primarily for census flex prior to shift start).
- EMR system used: MedHost.
- Scrub color: Any color allowed.
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested in submission.
- No 48-hour guarantees.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico.
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- BLS certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Information
- This is a general med-surg nursing role with some pediatric exposure.
- Candidates must be prepared for floating and occasional call duties.
- The fingerprinting process can take several weeks; only submit if agency is registered with New Mexico.
