Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Call: 2-3 days per week plus every 4th-5th weekend; rotating call teams (2 during the week, 1 on weekends, 24-hour coverage)
• Patient Focus: Heavy robotics, orthopedic, sports medicine cases; experience needed with robotics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, spine, and neurosurgery
• Locals Accepted: Yes, but at a lower rate
• 1st Time Travel Nurses Accepted: Yes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Experience with robotic surgical systems
• Experience in Orthopedic Surgery
• Experience in Urology
• Experience in Plastic Surgery
• Experience in ENT Surgery
• Experience in Neurosurgery

Additional Information

• Call coverage must be maintained if returning to work (RTO) lands on a call day
• Flu vaccine exemptions require completion of facility-specific exemption forms
• Annual skills checklist required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications mentioned but not required for this RN specialty
