Description
Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- One Saturday per month, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a compensatory day off during the same week
- Sunday coverage only if needed for orthopedic post-op patients not discharged Saturday (usually covered by other staff)
- Alternative schedule option: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Description
- Work primarily in inpatient rehabilitation therapy
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Pre-screening by clinical team to determine fit; final decision by manager after interview
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as applicable
- Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) as applicable per unit/job description
- Medication and competency exams as required by profession/specialty
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) for applicable candidates
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) Search completed 3 business days prior to start, renewed every 5 years
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
- Employment application and most recent resume required
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist required annually
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Fit mask testing within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific 3M mask models required)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Vaccination or positive titer documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – full vaccine series or positive titer preferred; declination form required for all candidates
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption/declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (required for agency only, not by facility)
