Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
Hours per week: 36
Job Description
- Operating Room nurse caring for adult and pediatric patients.
- Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery.
- Call required, averaging approximately 4 calls per month with varied call types (Evening, Overnight, Backup).
- Floating required; travelers are prioritized for floating and may float to other nearby campuses within a 50-mile radius.
- Use of Epic EMR system.
- Culture emphasizes integration of travelers as core staff members.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience.
- Pediatric experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Degree accreditation must be documented on profile or candidate must have at least 5 years of experience.
- Prior travel experience highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Complete demographic information must be submitted with application (address, date of birth, social security number, RN license number).
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; no approvals after submission.
- Final offer contingent on interview with manager.
Notes
- Call schedule includes evening shifts (7 PM to 11 PM), overnight shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), and backup call (3 PM to 7 AM).
- Hard document submission deadline is the Monday prior to start date; no exceptions for pending documents.
