MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long
• Weekday shifts: either 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Weekend shift every third week: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM with on-call until 9:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Experience

• Minimum years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty: Not explicitly stated (assume standard MRI Tech experience)
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security trace and county searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide sex offender registry
  • Pennsylvania statewide background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting results required prior to start
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year or negative chest x-ray if previously positive
• Annual TB questionnaire if applicable
• Immunizations or titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of multiple facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Emergency contact form
  • Orientation checklist
  • Pandemic attestation
  • Code of conduct
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Disclosure statement
  • Various training modules and competency assessments (e.g., patient policy, skin integrity, mobility, catheter training)
• Photo for badge required
• Facility will provide first week’s schedule and additional orientation materials

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)

Additional Notes

• Workplace Violence Prevention training (CPI) will be completed onsite during orientation for applicable units
• All religious or medical COVID-19 exemptions must be formally documented and signed by appropriate authorities

This position offers a structured travel contract opportunity for an experienced MRI Technologist with required certifications and compliance documentation, working primarily day shifts with a rotating weekend schedule.
