Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool - Registered Nurse
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.
- Must have PICU and NICU experience; previous NICU/PICU float pool experience considered.
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), totaling 36 hours/week.
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
- Time off: Up to 40 hours can be approved; no return-to-office (RTO) allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment.
- Must adhere to the facility’s float policy.
- Epic electronic health record experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Float experience, including within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric and Neonate patients
- NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Valid Driver's License
