Description
Travel Registered Nurse – Urology
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Work Type: Full Time
Job Summary
Provide independent nursing care in an outpatient clinical setting focused on adult patients with urology needs. Deliver routine and complex care while managing clinical contingencies and delegating tasks appropriately. Utilize nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Demonstrate leadership competencies in self-management and collaboration with others.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of urology nursing experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
