Registered Nurse (Acute Care - Med-Surg Adult) - Nights
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an acute care/medical-surgical observation unit. Care includes patients with orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute/chronic illnesses. The role involves planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care using specialized nursing knowledge.
Shift Details
- 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend rotation required
- Must participate in call rotation: 1 call shift every 2 weeks (may replace guaranteed hours if requested due to staffing needs)
- Average 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Must agree to radius rule: permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- CAPS requirement: must apply ASAP; may take up to two weeks to obtain (state-specific credentialing)
- Accurate Social Security Number and Date of Birth required for onboarding
