Description

Registered Nurse (Acute RN) - Syracuse, New York

Contract Details

  • Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from offer
  • Shift: Day shift, approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, typically 4 days/week
  • Work Days: Monday through Saturday (Saturday rotation required based on client need)
  • On Call: Sunday call and occasional weekday call
  • Float: Required to float to an attached hospital and a nearby community campus (~10 minutes away)
  • Scheduling: Requests or requirements should be communicated at time of submission; scheduling may be adjusted based on census and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS Certification (must be provided at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience, including dialysis experience within the last year

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience preferred but not required; candidates without prior travel or prior experience with this client may be redirected depending on volume of submissions
  • Prior experience with this client preferred but not required
  • A firm start date cannot be established until traveler is cleared and has picked up their badge on site
  • Travelers must travel to the hospital the week prior to start date without additional reimbursement for expenses incurred
  • Clinicians must perform any tasks within their scope of practice as requested
  • Machines used include BBraun and NxStage dialysis equipment

Work Environment

  • Acute care setting with 6-day clinics and variable shift lengths (longer shifts on M/W/F, shorter on T/T/Sat/Sun)
  • Weekend and holiday rotations may be required and may not always accommodate every other week scheduling preferences

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
