Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greenville, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7p-7a), 3 or 4 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Radius: Must live outside a 50-mile radius (no local candidates)


Job Description

  • Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse role
  • Night shift coverage only
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required in specialty

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Mississippi
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • Experience in OB/GYN specialty

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
  • Social Security card required within 48 hours of signed contract
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
  • Complete 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
  • Mississippi Department of Health fingerprint background screening required within last 2 years (results must be on file prior to start; no pending results allowed)
  • Highest level of education must be verified; diploma or transcript acceptable for pending verifications
  • Credentialing attestation, confidentiality, security agreements, drug screen consent, and other facility-specific documents must be completed prior to start

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within one year of start (no annual update required)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within one year of start (chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination with proof)
  • 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable, cannot be onsite)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption required prior to start

Competency and Performance

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
  • Skills checklist must be updated annually for applicable unit
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
  • Performance evaluations required if worked with the agency over 1 year

Additional Notes

  • This position follows a 7 on/7 off schedule with night shifts only
  • Prior travel experience is not required
  • Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
