Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Registered Nurse (RN) role in the Operating Room.
- Must have Level 1 Trauma experience.
- Required experience in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neurosurgery, and Trauma.
- Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating during surgeries.
- Local candidates preferred within a 75-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience in scrubbing and circulating in the operating room.
- Experience in Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, and Neurology.
Experience & Skills
- Must have trauma experience at Level 1 trauma center standards.
- Experience in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neurosurgery, and Trauma surgical cases.
- Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room.
Additional Information
- No on-call or weekend requirements.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Local candidates preferred but travel candidates considered.
- References and employment application required per state and agency standards.
- Annual skills checklist required.
