Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location

  • Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Shift: 4 days per week, 9-hour evening shifts (12:30 PM – 10:00 PM), Tuesday through Friday
  • No weekends or on-call required

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
  • Must be proficient in starting IVs
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Traveler’s primary residence must be within 25 miles of the facility

Required Certifications & Licenses

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification in CT
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency in starting IVs

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:
    • 7-year search
    • Social Security trace
    • County and nationwide checks
    • Sex offender registry
    • Education verification (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
    • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the U.S.
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
  • GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG excluded provider checks required
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Drug test (9-panel) within 1 year of start (not required for client clearance but must be completed)
  • Immunizations and health documentation:
    • Tdap vaccination (no religious declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
    • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (MMR series or titers)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)
  • Two professional references from recent employers within 2 years

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approximately 16 hours)
  • Compliance with facility dress code (RRTs wear dove gray/light gray scrubs)
  • Photo for badge with specific requirements (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
  • Confidentiality agreement signed prior to start
  • Return badges to manager on last day of assignment

Notes

  • Candidates must complete Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to proceed with fingerprinting.
  • Candidates must complete fingerprints within 2 weeks of registration.
  • If candidate is not within driving distance of a livescan location, travel to a location is required before assignment start.
  • Background checks and health documentation must be current and meet facility standards; gaps or expired documents may require updates before starting.
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
