Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
  • 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM (includes 30-minute lunch)
  • Call requirement: 1-2 weeks of call during assignment
  • No float or weekend requirements

Unit and Work Environment

  • 46-bed hospital with a 16-bed Emergency Department
  • Approximately 70 CT procedures per day
  • 2-camera department using Siemens Definition AS+ and Drive
  • Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, Pediatric Adult Care, Pediatric Outpatient, Level I & Level II Trauma
  • Charting and PACS use EPIC and Visage systems

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
  • Siemens equipment experience is mandatory
  • Image display and post-processing skills required: 3D Rendering, Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP), Region of Interest measurement (ROI)
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • ARRT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in Acute Care settings
  • Experience in Outpatient settings
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

  • Background checks including local county, federal court, national criminal database, DOJ sex offender search, and education verification for highest degree earned
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (updated annually if past positive TB)
  • Fit testing for N95 mask or completion of PAPR training (not required for non-clinical)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative result required)
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (with facility-specific declination if applicable)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption with mask requirement during flu season
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance training modules
  • Radiation badge required for CT Techs
  • References: 2 professional references within 3 years for travel and acute care roles

Orientation and Onboarding

  • Orientation attendance is mandatory; missing any portion may delay or cancel start
  • Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week
  • Interview with manager required prior to offer

Dress Code and Uniform

  • Scrubs not provided; Royal Blue scrubs recommended

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
