Description

CT Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Fayetteville, Georgia
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Evening (4 days per week, 10 hours per day; 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
Schedule: Monday through Thursday
Call: None
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed


Contract Details

  • Contract length: 6 weeks
  • Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days per contact
  • Holidays: If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall, both must be worked. If three fall, two must be worked.
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • Must be comfortable starting peripheral IVs (hard stop)
  • State license: Must be licensed as a CT Technologist in Georgia (license verification within 30 days prior to start)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification may be required depending on unit; verify clinical track requirements
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke, etc.) required only if specified by unit description
  • Mammography techs require original ARRT Mammography certification, 3D Mammography, Digital Certification, and documentation of 200 mammography exams in last 2 years (if applicable)
  • Annual NURSYS verification (if applicable) within 30 days prior to start
  • Competency exams required by agency for nursing/allied health roles (not client-required) including medication test, color blind testing, dysrhythmia/EKG competency (if applicable)

Compliance & Background Requirements

  • Background check required within 30 days of start; must include county, national sex offender, nationwide criminal search, FACIS 3, and education verification
  • Education verification required; diplomas or transcripts may be accepted if degree verification is pending
  • Physical exam required within 12 months of start (agency requirement)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable; candidates cannot start with results pending
  • TB testing (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months; if positive, additional documentation required including negative chest x-ray within 6 months
  • TB questionnaire required annually for all candidates
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer with booster plan if needed
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer with booster plan if needed
    • Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer or signed declination
    • Flu vaccine or declination required annually during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
  • Skills checklist within last 12 months, updated annually
  • Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)
  • Two clinical references required (agency requirement)

Notes

  • Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
  • Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final manager approval
  • Floating duties may be assigned within the facility as needed and within scope of practice

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
