Description
CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Night Shift
Location: Fruitland, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Yes, some weekends and holidays required
Call Requirement: Backup call rotation with 30-minute response time
Job Overview
- Work in a department with 3 X-ray scanners (2 rooms + 1 portable) and 1 CT scanner
- Only 2 staff members on overnight shift, collaborating to complete about 30 scans per shift
- Perform imaging on both CT and X-ray patients, including code strokes, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and 3D reconstructions
- Some pediatric patients from ER/urgent care; no cardiac CT or fluoroscopy procedures on nights
- Transport patients into the CT suite as needed
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certified
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Stroke/CVA (Code Stroke) patients
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records
Equipment & Systems
- Siemens equipment for CT and X-ray
- Carestream for portable imaging
- McKesson PACS for image archiving
- Epic for charting
Orientation & Dress Code
- Department-specific orientation: at least 2 shifts on day shift (Friday-Sunday, 8 PM – 8 AM)
- Standard OR blue scrubs provided
Additional Information
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) on site
- Radiologist coverage is remote; Physician Assistant onsite part-time during weekdays
- Staff do not float to other departments; all patients come to the imaging department
