Description

CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Redmond, Oregon
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 40 hours per week, predominantly swing shifts (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • Some night shifts required (8:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Shift example: 4 days of 12-hour shifts (48 hours/week)
  • Call is optional and not required

Caseload & Facility Info

  • Hospital size: 35 beds with a 14-bed Emergency Department
  • No floating outside scope of practice
  • Locals within 75-mile radius not accepted (proof of address required)

Required Experience & Skills

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience with Epic system
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • ARRT CT or ARRT Radiography certification
  • Current State CT Tech license (pending state license accepted)
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as required per unit description (AHA approved)

Equipment Used

  • GE imaging systems
  • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check (updated annually) including SSN trace, FACIS L3, DOJ sex offender search, education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
  • Primary source verification of state license
  • Education verification with diploma or transcript on file
  • Photo for badge (passport-style, solid background) required within 48 hours of signing
  • Facility-specific confidentiality, compliance, emergency contact, and access agreements must be signed before start

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer required, vaccine series alone not accepted)
    • Varicella
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted
  • Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; for positives, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Annual TB questionnaire required
  • Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (deadline 12/01)
  • COVID vaccine preferred but not required; declination or exemption required if unvaccinated
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually

Competency & Skills Verification

  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Annual skills checklist required

Time Off Restrictions

  • Maximum 7 total days off allowed during the 13-week assignment

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
