Registered Nurse (CVICU/CCU) - Night Shift
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced RN with strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) skills and Day 0 CVICU experience to cover both CVICU and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) patients. The role includes working in a smaller independent hospital with two Cath Labs (one Hybrid Cath Lab).
Shift Details
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekend rotation required
- Must participate in call rotation: 1 call shift every 2 weeks may replace guaranteed hours if staffing needs arise
- Must float to Acute Care/Medical-Surgical units as needed
- Average 36 hours per week
Housing
- Potential housing available: newly remodeled studio and one-bedroom apartments located half a block from the hospital
- Fully furnished, includes Wi-Fi, utilities, and on-site laundry
- No deposit required
- Availability based on assignment and housing inventory
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Minimum 3 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with a 75-mile radius rule: permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- CAPS certification required (may take up to two weeks to obtain)
- Must provide resume and proof of BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and CVICU skills documentation upon submission

- This position supports community-focused care, aiming to keep patients close to home during recovery
- Located between Denver and Grand Junction along the I-70 corridor
