  • Evening shift: 2:30 PM to 11:15 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
  • 40 hours per week

Job Description

  • RN Supervisor role requiring supervision of staff and medication cart management
  • Patient population includes Alzheimer's and Dementia residents
  • Facility size: 300 beds, Long-Term Care (LTC) and Rehabilitation Center
  • Med pass responsibilities
  • Weekend work required on an every-other basis
  • Accepts candidates with recent experience in rehab, med-surg, or hospital settings
  • Local candidates preferred
  • First-time travelers considered

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in supervisory roles

Preferred Experience

  • Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred but flexible on length

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (front copy)
  • Background checks including 7-year history and annual updates (standard criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
  • Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually, clearing candidate physically and for communicable diseases
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire annually (required in lieu of annual TB test)
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella; boosters if titers are low
  • Pneumonia vaccination proof or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (all declinations accepted)
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (required for direct hires only)
  • References: 2 professional references within 2 years (supervisors preferred)
  • Resume or employment application required
  • New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS) consent form required

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Completion of Relias training modules prior to start, including medication administration exam (90% passing score required)
  • Additional modules may be assigned post-start and must be completed by assigned due dates
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam with minimum passing score of 80%
  • Harassment prevention training certificate required for subcontractors (1-hour course acceptable for grandfathered candidates)
  • Fingerprinting required for CNAs (not applicable for RN role)
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: Point Click Care (not required to submit)

This position offers an opportunity to work in a large LTC facility with a focus on supervisory responsibilities and care for dementia and Alzheimer's patients. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, and health compliance requirements to be considered.

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
