Schedule
- 4x10 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM (rotating day off)
- No weekend requirement unless previously discussed
- No on-call requirement
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Prior travel experience not required
Licensure & Certifications
- Must have ARRT CT certification at time of application
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- State license must be current and verifiable (Missouri license verifiable via NURSYS)
- Pending state licenses not accepted
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (refer to unit-specific requirements)
Clinical & Technical Requirements
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred
- Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings required
- Preferred experience in Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, and Adult ICU settings
- Required general skills: PACS, contrast administration
- Preferred skills: IV starts, portable imaging, biopsies
- Required CT procedures experience: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT angiography (CTAs), multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred CT procedures experience: aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies
- Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs (floating to sister facilities not required)
Work Environment
- Level 1 trauma center with high complexity cases
- Short Term Acute Care facility with 1259 staffed beds
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub colors: Black, Red, or White
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification of highest related degree required before start
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and remain valid throughout assignment
- Physical exam within 1 year of start required
- Fit mask testing required annually (N95 respirators)
- Immunization and health document requirements include:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Facility-specific documents such as HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene policy, fingernail policy, dress code policy, and regulatory compliance education must be completed and updated annually
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be current within 1 year
Additional Notes
- Local radius rule: candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- No more than 7 days off within the 13-week contract
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
- Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist must be submitted
- Floating within the facility is expected; floating to sister facilities is not required
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable working in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center environment, and who hold current ARRT CT certification and BLS. The role offers a consistent day shift schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements.
