Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start timeframe: 3–4 weeks after compliance clearance
- Patient ratio: 1:4–6
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 5 years of Med Surg experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Blood product administration
- Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) management
- Spinal cord injury care
- Traumatic brain injury care
- Peripheral nerve block catheter management
- Total joint replacement care
- Surgical drain management
- Chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
- CPAP/BiPAP management

- Acute care surgery cases including appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, and TBI
