Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Kingsport, Tennessee
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Must float
- 1:7 medical-surgical ratio
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Schedule and Assignment Notes
- 36/36 schedule
- General orientation begins on Sundays
- 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
- One shift may be canceled or called off biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
- Additional shifts may be flexed as needed based on census or resource needs without penalty
Additional Expectations
- Participation in nursing student support and clinical education is expected alongside clinical care
